After the start of the social workshop activities, the employment needs of some persons with mental and / or mental disabilities in Vilkaviškis district municipality were ensured. Depending on the individual abilities of individuals, lost general and special work abilities are restored and new ones are acquired and developed. The service process is tailored to meet the abilities and special needs of individuals. The following working skills are developed in social workshops: self-production of simple confectionery, selection of raw materials and preparation for production, mixing dough and confectionery semi-finished products, production of flour, cream and sugar confectionery and simple decoration elements, preparation and preparation of primary food products hot meals, snacks and drinks, desserts, safe use of technological equipment and inventory, development of professional skills necessary for work activities.
Visitors to social workshops can be people of working age with mental and / or mental disabilities with a working capacity of 20 to 55 percent.

2020 October month. open activities with young people have been launched. An Open Youth Space has been set up for visitors aged 14-29. young people. Here, opportunities are created for young people to develop personal and social competencies, to get involved in community and social processes. AJE focuses on the needs of young people, provides opportunities to spend their free time meaningfully: engage in favorite activities, discover new forms of activities, get acquainted, play board games, participate in various events.

Social care (crisis management assistance) and temporary childcare services
According to the Vilkaviškis District Municipality Council 2020 January 31 decision no. B-TS-285 approved the description of the procedure for the provision of social care services in the Kybartai orphanage. The service center provides temporary child care for a child living in the territory of Vilkaviškis district. On any day of the week, at any time of the day, as well as on holidays and public holidays, families with children and pregnant women in crisis are admitted and accommodated.

Daily social care for 20 or more children / children under the age of 14 is provided daily - assistance with preparation for lessons, leisure activities, consultations with a social pedagogue and psychologist, development of life skills, art / art therapy, floristics, yoga, scouting and other activities. The children participated in the activities of the Cognitive Path - Small Steps project, carried out the project of the Special Society Program “Strengthening Health Together”, participated in and helped organize the competitions “Old House Stories” and “I Produce an Ethnic Toy Myself” organized by the World Kybartai Society.
Artist Neringa, Legionnaire of the Mary Legion, Asta, a volunteer of Carito, Vilija, a scout leader of Lithuania, and other volunteers lead the center on a voluntary basis.

2020 the number of social care places in the Service Center was approved - 11, 11 children lived. 2021 January 1 There are 8 wards living in the service center (Darvino str. 4). There are 15 children in community orphanages.
Various artistic and educational activities are organized, wards participate in organized events, projects, local community events, conditions are provided for visiting cinemas, performances, sports competitions, and participation in non-formal education activities and project activities is encouraged and motivated.
